From the Board to the Console

I love board games.

Every time friends came home and we decided to play a game board, options where limited to the ones I had at home, and once we decided for either Pictonary or Scrabble, we would then hope that all the game parts and pieces where in the box (which never where). I always thought it would be great to be able to play board games when I am bored without the need of inviting someone home, or even choose between a broader range of these games and make sure I would be able to play any of them at any time and being sure all the game pieces are there… I couldn’t till some time ago when these casual board games turned into video games.

Hasbro has smartly moved into the video games industry leveraging their IP and making it fit the correct platform by tweaking their IP and they’ve done a great job. EA and Hasbro through their agreement have just reached over 2.000.000 units sold and growing

I think there is a huge potential for Board Games meeting Video Games, I am eager to see what our creative industry comes up with..
